Project Darreis is kicking off its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Please consider making a donation! They are accepting everything from canned food to monetary contributions that can be used to help families get a turkey. There is a drop off at the Project Darreis's offices at the First Christian Church at 111 Fairmount Avenue or at the home of Belinda Gilchrist-Day, the founder of the project, at 339 Oakland Avenue. Last year the project gave away 38 bags of food and 50 turkeys to people in the neighborhood who needed a helping hand.
